Q: How do I book Chicago Wedding Candy Buffet?
A:  Check our Place Order page to ensure we are available for your date or email us and provide your date, event venue, address, and approximate guest count. We only accommodate events on Saturdays and Sundays. Weekday events might be accommodated if delivery, set up, and removal are arranged in advance.  It is required to obtain approval from your venue first.  We also need a six (6) to eight (8) foot table and have a minimum two (2) hour window to set up prior to your guests arrival, so please coordinate a set up window in advance. Once you have approval and you are ready to book, please fill out the I'm Ready to Book form. Click on the I'm Ready to Book link, print out the form, fill in your information, and return via fax at 773.442.0611, mail it in with your payment, or scan and email it back to donnag@chicagoweddingcandybuffet.com. We will make additions or customize your package for additional fees, if applicable, or eliminate a service to help you stay within your budget.

Q: How much does the candy buffet cost?
A:  Please review The Scoop page for our package pricing. Multiply your approximate guest count with the appropriate package. We can adjust your guest count accordingly up to 3 weeks prior to your event.  There is no additional transportation fee for venues located in Chicago.  We deliver up to a 10 miles radius from Chicago and will make exceptions to go further depending on our schedule.  Any venue located outside the Chicago City limits will incur an additional transportation fee.  We can create a "candy only" candy buffet to accommodate smaller budgets.  We will decrease or completely remove the custom embellished tags and ribbons.  If we completely remove the custom tags, the savings are as follows: One Carat = save $84, Two Carat = save $112, Three Carat = save $144, Four Carat = save $180, Five Carat = save $220.

Q: How can I pay?
A:  Once your date is approved, you need to pay your booking confirmation deposit, which is half of your balance in order to block and confirm your date. Your remaining balance must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to your event date. You can pay the deposit and balance by check or credit card (additional $25 invoice processing fee to use Visa, MasterCard, or American Express via PayPal). If you need to cancel your event for any reason, you will receive eighty percent (80%) of your deposit if we are notified 120 days or more prior to your event. You will receive ten percent (10%) of your deposit if we are notified 31 to 60 days prior to your event. No deposit ($0) will be refunded if you notify us within 30 days or less prior to your event.

Q: Will you provide candy buffets outside the Chicago city limits?
A:  We currently only service the city of Chicago.  We will travel up to a 10 mile radius from downtown Chicago for an additional travel fee. However, please feel free to contact us and provide your date, venue, and guest count if you are outside of the delivery range, because we try to make exceptions to this limitation as often as possible if the date is available and ample notice is provided. We want to provide impeccable service to our customers and that includes a punctual and safe delivery of your candy buffet, as well as returning to your venue on time to remove the candy buffet. Therefore, we restricted our delivery area and will not provide delivery past Lincolnwood (to the North), Oak Brook (to the West), and Orland Park (to the South).

Q: What candy will you use?
A:  We customize each event and will incorporate your suggestions. The candy selected is based on your budget, color specifications, style or theme, and the guests attending your event.  We use only the highest quality and freshest confections. Our reputation is everything, we guarantee to design the most beautiful display with the BEST candy that is appropriate for your event, while being thoughtful and creative. Q: Can I have all yellow candy? (hypothetical)
A:  We believe in flexibility and try to accommodate all suggestions. Limiting your buffet to a specific color also means higher priced candy is some instances and potentially limiting flavor. For example: yellow typically relates to lemon, banana, pineapple, and butterscotch. However, many confections are individually color wrapped, which adds dimension and opens up the flavor spectrum to include mints, chewing gum, and numerous chocolates in a variety of flavors. Yes, we can use one color, but the result can be going to our Premier priced candy buffets due to the custom work involved to incorporate specific colors. We encourage our customers to incorporate one or more of the following: metallics like gold and/or silver, white, and unwrapped milk, dark, or white chocolate. We provide up to 4 custom colors with our basic candy buffet packages. Our Premier Packages include a full candy buffet in your designated color(s). Ask us for details and pricing if you are interested in this. A great example is M&Ms - if you want an all Pink buffet, but want M&Ms. M&Ms do come in pink varieties, but cost more than regular M&Ms.

Q: Are your candy buffets just for weddings?
A:  Absolutely not, we create delectable candy buffets for any life event you are planning to celebrate!  Our specialty is weddings, but we will create a candy buffet for any reason!

Q: Can I have a candy buffet for a group less than 65?
A:  Yes, you can, however our minimum pricing is $550.  We try to make exceptions as much as possible, so email us your date, venue, and guest count and we will try to accommodate smaller groups when possible.

Q: What if me or my guests have allergies or medical conditions that prevent consumption of certain foods?
A: We can accommodate sugar free or gluten free candy and chocolates upon request. We recognize the seriousness of allergic reactions. There is a possibility that ALL products we use could contain a variety of, be in contact with, or have a trace of certain nuts. Therefore, we do not recommend eating any candy products if you are allergic to nuts or other ingredients used in baking.

Many chocolates and candies contain gluten, milk and/or milk powder, eggs – pasteurized whole, yolks and whites, tree nuts - pecans, walnuts, almonds, cashews, soy used in most shortenings, wheat in products containing flour, and coconut. While many products do not contain peanuts or peanut oils, we cannot guarantee that none of the other ingredients have come in contact with nuts or other ingredients that could cause allergic reactions.  Any restrictions need to be addressed upon booking.
